Why Spokane Youth Lacrosse?
SYL was founded by lacrosse players, who are passionate about the game, and know the sport inside and out. The emphasis is not only the quality of our program but player safety, skills, sportsmanship, and fun. We are dedicated to passing on our knowledge of the sport and developing the lacrosse community across the region.

SYL offers the following:
  • Spring lacrosse league games with teams in the Spokane area, in addition to clinics in the fall or winter.
  • US Lacrosse trained coaches - encouraging them to participate the US Lacrosse Coaches Training Program.  We have both US Lacrosse Level 1 and Level 2 Certified Coaches on our responsible adult coaching staff.
  • US Lacrosse certified officials – All of our referees have to attend and be certified the US Lacrosse Referee Certification Program.
  • Neighborhood based teams on the North Side, Spokane Valley, and South Hill.
Lacrosse is the fastest growing sport in the country.  Are you interested?  Come be a part of this phenomenal trend! For more information, please contact our League Administrator

Fundraiser - Jerky Sale

original beef jerky - sunriver gourmet
Spokane Youth Lacrosse is passionate about delivering extraordinary opportunities for our kids through continual improvement and development of the league. We are excited to partner with Sunriver Gourmet, a local NW business, to hold a two-week beef jerky fundraising program. With your enthusiastic support, SYL is confident this program will provide the necessary financial support to make the league even better for our kids! The money raised will go towards new equipment, increased field space costs, our local LAXfest tournament, player scholarships, and other needs. Thanks in advance for your participation! Stay tuned for more details.

SYL Ref Clinic

SYL is looking for a small number of new officials this year.  The first training session will be held on:
March 18th from 1-4pm at Gonzaga Prep.

We are looking for boys - 8th, 9th, and maybe 10th graders to train.  Depending on age and experience this first year will probably be a mentor year to learn the ropes.  That will secure a spot in our referee pool, with the ability to be a full time referee for next year.

If you are interested or have questions please contact Brian ORourk at
