1/2 grades: Our teams will follow "small ball" rules, focusing on basic skills development and sportsmanship combined with lots of fun and exercise. Players will wear full gear. Games will be 4x4 with no goalie. Hard balls will be used.

Practice schedules and locations will be announced in March. Anticipate evening practices 1-2 times per week . Games will be played primarily on Sunday afternoons or Wednesday evenings at the Spokane Polo Fields or surrounding fields. The team will participate in SYL’s LAXfest 2 day Tournament in May. There will be no travel.

 

3/4 grades: The focus will be on "small ball" rules, skills development and sportsmanship combined with lots of fun and exercise. The games will be 6x6 plus goalies. 

Practice schedules and locations will be announced in March. Anticipate evening practices 2-3 days per week. Games are typically held on Sunday afternoons and Wednesday evenings at the Spokane Polo Fields. The team will participate in SYL’s LAXfest two-day Tournament in May. The team may also play one or two local one-day jamboree (within 90 minutes) depending on player/parent interest.

 

5/6 grades:  The focus will be on skills development and sportsmanship combined with lots of fun and exercise. The skills include: cradling, scooping, passing/catching and ball control.  At the 5/6 grade level, there will be an introduction on plays and game strategies.

Anticipate evening practices 2-3 days per week. Games are typically held on Sunday afternoons and Wednesday evenings at the Spokane Polo Fields. The team will participate in SYL’s LAXfest two-day Tournament in May. The team may also play in one or two two-day Jamborees that will require overnight stays (within 3 hours drive) and one or two one-day jamborees (within 90 minutes drive) depending on player/parent interest.

 

7/8 grades: The focus will be on skills development and sportsmanship combined with lots of fun and exercise. The skills include: cradling, scooping, passing/catching and ball control.  At the 7/8 grade level, there will be more emphasis on plays, game strategies, and preparing boys to play at the high school level.
